LCSW-A, LCASA, She/Her
Are you just going through the motions in life, perhaps feeling stuck or lacking motivation? Have you isolated yourself or kept your feelings inside because it feels like no one could truly understand? You may have spent your entire life fighting expectations imposed on you by society, family, or your peers and while it can be difficult to know where those expectations originated, you have the power to transform their impact. Enduring struggle doesn’t have to be worn as a badge of honor.
My name is Ashley, and in addition to being a clinician, I am a Paramedic with over 10 years of experience and an active member of the LGBTQIA+ community who supports people during their most vulnerable moments. Over a decade of field experience has shown me how uniquely trauma impacts everyone; every situation is distinct, but ultimately, everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and validated. When those needs go unmet, loneliness, shame, and resentment can take root, leaving you wondering what it takes to feel "normal." Firmly believing that all care must be trauma-informed, I will meet you exactly where you are to provide a safe space for processing life's hardships, tough calls, and the interpersonal challenges that arise when negative emotions become overwhelming.
Regardless of the specific therapeutic modality used, healing relies on a genuine relationship, so you can expect my quirky, eccentric, and direct approach rather than an inauthentic "yes-man." Integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), we will collaborate to uncover your strengths, identify your values, and examine how core beliefs have shaped your daily life. We cannot alter what has already passed, but with deep compassion, understanding, and empathy, I can help you view your journey with a bit more grace.
